The Latest:
The History of the Gabriel Homes Golf Tournament
Thirty-one years ago, a group of volunteers hand-addressed invites to friends, family, connections, and past donors to a new fundraiser. While some volunteers knew little about golf, everyone shared the belief in the mission of Gabriel Homes.
Staff Hold a Spa Night for Residents
To give the residents a chance to relax and kick up their feet, staff organized a recent spa night. Residents did foot baths, wore face masks, and more.
“Our spa night felt amazing! I was scared to move once my nails were painted, so I stayed put for a while until everything was dry.”

Mini Golf Runs Hot in Joe’s Family
Not all great golfers play at the driving range. Just ask Joe.
Mini golf taps into Joe’s competitive side. A decorated powerlifter, Joe brings the same grit to the smaller links. You can almost always expect Joe to hit at least one hole-in-one.

John’s Five Favorite Things About Maine
The closer the date comes, John (second from left) and his annual getaways to Maine are all he thinks about. His extended family has two beach cottages next to one another, and it is no challenge walking to the shore.

An Open Letter to Gabriel Homes
Two longtime supports shared an open letter with Gabriel Homes on why they continue to support our organization and residents for over 30 years. It was thanks to then-Father Bob Cilinski (right) that they were introduced to Gabriel Homes; the rest, as they say, is history.

Partner Spotlight: Angie’s Journey of Empowerment and Independence
This article in the September 2026 edition of our monthly newsletter, The Treehouse, is the second of a five-part series between ECHO and Gabriel Homes. See how ECHO’s programs empower participants and how Gabriel Homes residents apply what they learn in everyday life independently.
Angie shows how she brings her sense of humor and warmth everywhere she goes. Many of her paintings made at the ECHO LIFE program are on the walls at home.
“Angie shines in her independence through everyday choices and routines she manages on her own.”
