An Open Letter by Two Longtime Donors
The Origin of Our Support
For many years, Gabriel Homes has held a special place in our hearts. Our connection began through Monsignor Bob Cilinski, who has been a gift to our family and presided over marriages and baptisms.
How We Found Gabriel Homes
Thirty years ago, then-Father Bob introduced us to Gabriel Homes through its annual golf tournament. We excitedly made a team with business partners and friends; our company had no hesitation supporting a local nonprofit. What was a fun day on the course became much more when we saw the need Gabriel Homes was addressing thanks to our donations. Thanks to Fr. Bob, we found a cause worth supporting for decades to come.

Our greatest joy was seeing the people at the heart of Gabriel Homes: the residents, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Watching them grow in confidence and independence over the years was a powerful reminder of why we need Gabriel Homes. Their happiness, accomplishments, and sense of community showed us that Gabriel Homes provided much more than a roof over their heads.
Seeing Gabriel Homes make independence possible is why we continue to support the organization. Our hearts are full to know we are funding programs and services that allow residents to learn, grow, and succeed. The stories about their independence throughout the year show that our support is meaningful.

Now that we're much older, we don’t have the same energy for the golf tournament that we once had. Age has slowed us down, but our passion for Gabriel Homes remains strong. We remain grateful for all the blessings in our lives, for Msgr. Bob, and for Gabriel Homes.
