Rich Wins Silver at Special Olympics Bowling State Games

After months of practice and strong results, Rich won a silver medal for bowling at the Special Olympics Summer State Games. Rich won second out of over 300 athletes who competed in bowling, and he bowled his best result in years.

“I was proud that I could still bowl so high. My medal felt right because I worked hard on my bowling.”

Residents Catch Polar Heat on Lynn Street

Held in Downtown Herndon, Polar Heat blended hot and cold themes into a first-of-its-kind festival.

Residents who attended moved freely between the high-energy heat side and the more relaxed cool side. Friends from MindShift Gym showcased an outdoor obstacle course in the heat section, where residents spent most of their time.

“The balancing beams were easy since I’ve been working on them in class. I’m faster climbing over the blocks, too.”

The Anderson Company’s Impact on Independence

For decades, The Anderson Company has played a role in supporting the independence of our residents. The company has donated over $100,000 in services and equipment rentals to help maintain our six homes.

The Gabriel Homes Golf Tournament has long benefited from the company’s early and ongoing financial support as a Guardian Angel sponsor, the event’s highest level of giving.

“The residents were always at the heart of the golf tournament for me. At first, I worked day and night to bring in new golfers, sponsors, and volunteers. Now, seeing the same supporters show up year after year for Gabriel Homes feels incredibly rewarding.”
