Dave Weaver is a retired tech leader who spent nearly three decades at GEICO, finishing his career as a director of software engineering. Joining the board in 2026, Dave brings strong experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational leadership.
Much of Dave's passion for independence for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is shaped by being the parent of an adult with IDD. Since his son lives in a residential group home in Maryland, Dave has seen how communication, thoughtful programming, and consistent advocacy build fulfilling lives. Having coached Special Olympics basketball, Dave also brings hands-on experience supporting people with a wide range of abilities.
Alongside serving on the board, Dave enjoys reading detective novels, going on long walks with his girlfriend, and watching D.C. sports. As an avid investor, Dave also stays on top of all financial news and economic trends.
